Eva (Odessa Young), a 19th-century widow, is forced to make an impossible choice when her ship sinks in the middle of a particularly brutal winter off the coast of her remote fishing outpost. Eva and her crew must choose whether to rescue the losers or survive the winter on their last meal. Faced with the consequences of their choices and overcome by guilt, the residents struggle with a growing sense of fear and the belief that everyone is being punished for their choices.
