It’s an excellent adaptation
We start with incredible photography, good scriptwriting, and creative direction with an approach that respects the original work.
At the same time, it respects in its ethnic and cultural aspect what Colombia is, as a people and society
It also adapts the events of the book with dedication and uses resources such as conceptual images to add to the narrative.
Traditions, music, food, and racial diversity are part of the Macondo universe, as is the history that makes up the years of a violent past in Colombia
This makes way for its chronology, which is perfectly intertwined, which results in a product that is slightly different in content, but not a negative connotation for the development of the story.

It’s actually a very dedicated and fairly faithful work that evokes the nostalgia of what One Hundred Years of Solitude is and the artistic impact it had on subsequent generations influenced by Latin American literature and the work of García Márquez.
